Full Scope

A Complete Pickleball Court Installation Service

Installing a court involves much more than painting pickleball lines onto concrete. The slope, drainage, base, surface system, clearances and equipment placement all affect how the court plays and how well it holds up under Arizona conditions.

Dink Pro Courts coordinates the complete installation so each component works as one system. Depending on the property and intended use, the project may include:

  • Property and access evaluation before layout decisions are finalized.
  • Court orientation and footprint planning based on the site, sun exposure and surrounding structures.
  • Excavation, grading and drainage preparation appropriate to the property.
  • Reinforced concrete or another approved court-base system based on project requirements.
  • Surface preparation followed by premium acrylic color coatings.
  • Accurate boundary, baseline, centerline and non-volley-zone striping.
  • Permanent, semi-permanent or portable net-system installation.
  • Optional LED sports lighting, perimeter fencing, windscreens, seating and basketball additions.
  • Final inspection and walkthrough before the court is ready for play.

Residential & Commercial

Built for Homes, HOAs and Facilities

A residential court can become the most-used space on the property when the layout fits the yard and the household. We plan private courts for everyday practice, family play, fitness and entertaining, with custom colors and equipment that complement the home’s outdoor design.

If the court will share space with basketball or another activity, line colors and equipment placement should be planned before construction. Learn more about a basketball and pickleball combo court.

HOA, Community and Commercial Courts

Community and commercial projects require clear circulation, dependable surfacing and equipment suited to repeated use. Dink Pro Courts can plan single or multi-court installations for HOAs, apartment communities, schools, hospitality properties, private clubs and other facilities. Project scope may include fencing, lighting, spectator space and phased installation planning.

Dimensions

Court Size, Layout and Playing Clearances

The marked pickleball playing area is 20 feet wide by 44 feet long. A complete installation needs additional space beyond the lines so players can move safely at the sidelines and baselines. Common construction guidance references a 30-by-60-foot minimum playing surface and a 34-by-64-foot preferred footprint for new courts, but the final plan should be based on the property and intended level of play.

A smaller recreational installation may be possible when space is limited, but reducing the run-off area changes movement and play. Dink Pro Courts reviews the available footprint before recommending a layout. See our guide to pickleball court dimensions and layout options for more detail.

Local Conditions

Built for Arizona Heat and Site Conditions

Arizona court installation requires more than choosing a bright color system. Prolonged UV exposure, extreme surface temperatures, soil movement, drainage and seasonal weather all influence material and construction decisions. A durable installation starts below the visible topcoat.

  • Drainage and slope are reviewed so water does not remain on the playing surface.
  • The base and crack-control approach are selected for the specific project rather than treated as a cosmetic step.
  • Outdoor acrylic systems and color combinations are chosen with play, visibility and desert exposure in mind.
  • Court orientation and lighting placement are evaluated to reduce glare and improve evening use.
  • Fencing and surrounding landscaping are considered early so access and ball containment work with the finished court.

  • Perimeter or targeted fencing for ball containment.
  • Permanent or removable net systems.
  • Basketball hoops and multi-sport line configurations.
  • Windscreens, seating and equipment storage.

What Affects Pickleball Court Installation Cost?

The cost of a pickleball court installation depends on the site and the complete scope, not only the painted playing area. Important variables include available access, demolition or excavation, grading, drainage, base construction, court dimensions, surface system, fencing, lighting, electrical work, net equipment and custom features.

Dink Pro Courts currently presents court investment examples starting at approximately $29,000 for a 54-by-28-foot court space, subject to site conditions, specifications and final quote. Financing examples are estimates and depend on third-party lender approval. See our court financing options.
